As young girls, she and her sister felt gently led by the Lord to that little church—where they first heard the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ. The soft, cloudy sky, dotted with light, creates a dreamlike atmosphere, while loose, playful brushstrokes hint at the innocence of memory. The church’s gentle green door and a white cross above draw the viewer inward, and the lush bushes bursting with textured greens and whites give the scene a sense of life and joy.
