“My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.” Psalms 145:21 ESV

Inspired by the call of obedience to God when he asked for this blue butterfly to be painted, titled "God's Grace," its wings adorned with specks of Crimson Red, this artwork stands as a testament to the eternal praise of the Lord. Quoting Psalms 145:21 from the ESV Bible, “My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.”

The journey behind this masterpiece is a testament to the artist's unwavering faith in God's goodness. The artist had struggled to complete any paintings after the passing of a dear friend.  In grieving, another friend and sister in Christ had delivered a set of canvases with a message from God to keep painting. The artist had only been inspired to paint one canvas solid grey and filed it away until a divine message delivered through another new friend. Praying together in agreement for a breakthough, through Christ, to break any adversarial chains.

The next morning, God called the artist to surrender and to paint the blue butterfly, a symbol of God's exquisite work. The creative process flowed freely, as if the butterfly itself had taken flight, breaking through the constraints that had previously stifled creativity.

In inspired guidance from the Holy Spirit, the artist's connection with butterflies continued beyond the canvas, evident in a chance visit to a store teeming with butterfly-themed items as well as other confirmations as a sign of divine connection. The artist painted three original paintings of this blue butterfly.

The artist's seemingly simple and whimsical second butterfly painting, originally created without a clear purpose and later developed a clear purpose through the Holy Spirit, as it found its destined home with a grieving family. This touching act of divine serendipity was beautifully complemented by the appearance of a living white butterfly by the Holy Spirit to provide solace to a family in mourning, attesting to God's intricate and purposeful connections. "God's Grace" serves not only as a reflection of the artist's spiritual journey but also as a symbol of the far-reaching impact of divine inspiration, spreading comfort, hope and new beginning in unexpected ways.
